Exonetik, an aerospace engineering company that works directly with the scientific research from Université de Sherbrooke, needed a new website with more consistency and simplicity. After re-designing their website two years prior to mandating LEEROY, they realized their site still did not correspond to their goal. Exonetik came to us with several prerequisite needs: simplify the user interface to highlight essential information and make it easier to find, rethink the content and messaging, modernise the corporate image and culture, explain and present Exonetik's products accurately and well.

UX / UI Design

By simplifying the site map down to the core elements that are important to users, LEEROY then had the answer to start building a simply but elegant user experience. From there, we designed the website page-by-page to have a clear and logical flow. By opting for a large burger menu, it allows the user to experience effortless navigation from wherever they are on the site, never getting lost en route while searching for information. By adding visuals, diagrams, a short clips around the website, the user is able to stay engaged and experience Exonetik's product and brand without ever stepping foot into the lab.

Development

Now that the user interface was redesigned to become easier to understand, it was time to simplify administrating and managing content for the employees of Exonetik by introducing a new content management system: CraftCMS. After having used WordPress, we realized Exonetik needed a CMS that was straightforward and could match the new easy-to-understand design of their website. This was one of our first websites that used CraftCMS. And we haven't looked back since.
